SCOPE - UNEP international workshop on emerging environmental issues
The workshop is part of the preparation of the UNEP Year Book 2012 on new science and developments in our changing environment. Twenty experts from all over the world will attend four-day writing workshop in Prague (from 29th of August to 1st of September 2011) with the task to prepare a first draft of the Year Book’s emerging issues chapters.

An employee of the Center – Mgr. Miroslav Havránek – was invited to talk on Thursday 9.9.2010 in the ČT 24 programme Milénium. This time the TV programme focused on the discussion of the possibilities of drawing electricity from the atmosphere in the future. The discussion was triggered by the report of the scientists under Fernando Galembeck presented recently at the American Chemical Society meeting in Boston.

International seminar “Overcoming the Deadlock: Climate Policy after Copenhagen”

Arisen from the initiative of Senator and Director of the Charles University Environment Center, prof. Bedrich Moldan, the international seminar "Overcoming the Deadlock: Climate Policy after Copenhagen" took place in the Senate of the Czech Republic accompanied by great professional interest on 3 March 2010.
Charles University Environment Center has published the Book of Proceedings from the international conference ConAccount 2008. This conference took place between Spetember 11–12 2008 in Prague and focused on urban metabolism. More detailed information on the conference and the elektronic version of the Book of Proceedings can be obtained at conference web page.
On Friday, September 24, 2010 the Charles University Environment Center organized the Seminar on Theory of Planned Behavior: Recent Developments and Applications on Pro-environmental Behavior. The presentations from the seminar can be found here.
On November, 1–2, 2010 the Charles University Environment Center organized the workshop "Environmental Valuation & Macro-structural Models" in the historical buildings of Charles University in Prague in Carolinum (Ovocný trh 3-5, Prague 1). The workshop was held in English.

Prof. Bedřich Moldan has accepted the invitation of prof. Johan Rockström and on Friday May 7th held a presentation within the prestigious seminar series The Stockholm Seminars in the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences focusing on the following topic: "Changing Environment in Central Europe in Course of Last Decades".
